NOVOFLEX NOTE 1

1. Here is the most basic Novoflex accessory: The compact BAL-S bellows with Leica Thread Mount (M39) in the front and standard Novoflex bayonet in the rear for various N. camera adapters for almost every SLR from Ihagee Exakta to Canon EOS.

This can take any enlarger or Leica SM lens to get started in bellows photography from 1:1 to infinity. Especially elegant (aside from Novoflex lens heads) are older Leica SM lens heads from the Leica Elmarit 90 mm or Elmar/Hektor 135mm lens heads with the appropriate Novoflex adapter (e.g. LEIEL, LEIHEK), or the recessed Macro Tessar (I am looking for one!).

2. The second most useful Novoflex accessory: CASTEL - The original compact Novoflex focussing rail. Here shown with Novoflex Panorama Head mounted on a small N. ballhead. Missing is the small horizontal level NIVEL that is rarely included with CASTELs purchased used.

  1. Hi, I have a 9cm Elmar and Novoflex bellows. Looks like I can use a Novoflex LEIEL to attach the two. Can you confirm that this is the setup you have? Thanks.

  2. Does anyone know the code for the recessed version of the LEIEL adapter, so that the Elmar 65mm head can get focus further away. I already have a LEIEL and it limits focus to around 1.3 meters.

  3. Wilson,
My 1966 Novoflex Catalog says LEIMAR for the "Leitz Elmar 65 mm lens head".
